The Holy Glow of Headlights

If you are a fan of everything Canadiana (as itunes prefers to slot us) then the music of Toronto based Singer/Songwriter, Matthew Barber is easily already loaded on your ipod.  As digital satisfaction only goes so far, Barber has taken his style on the road to perform a handful of solo acoustic dates across Western Canada with Saskatoon’s date featuring Yours Truly as the opening slot.  I will be playing with Matthew Barber and Mark Ceaser Wednesday, April 7th @ Amigo’s Cantina (632 10th St E) in Saskatoon, SK. The show starts at 9 pm with advance tickets for only $12.00

Last weekend I was graced with the presence of the soft-spoken and hard-hustlin’ Kerri Senkow.  Kerri is gearing up for the release of her debut ep “Underneath My Skin” and was gracious enough to allow me to share vocal duty on selected tracks throughout the recording.  Under the supervision of WCMA award winning producer, Dave Taylor, we spent Saturday laying vocals, sliding guitars, blowing harp – (oh my undertone….) fueled by whiskey and pushing for perfection.  Keep an eye on Regina’s Prairie Dog Entertainment Paper for interviews and reviews.

And finally, as of a week ago it’s officially springtime and after an ice-cold Canadian winter in the van, I welcome nothing with more excitement.  From small town folk festivals to competitive Bull-riding Extravaganza’s; myself and the boys will be coming to your town.  From Surrey to Scottsville, Sundre to Sioux St Marie, Saskatoon to Steinbach, SEE YA SOON!!
