BLAKE BERGLUND WINS RISING STAR AWARD AT 2011 SASKATCHEWAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, APRIL 5, 2011 (SASKATCHEWAN) Blake Berglund’s first Saskatchewan Country Music Association nomination resulted in a win. The SCMA awards weekend were held April 1st to 3rd in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. After performing as an opening act for Corb Lund & The Hurtin’ Albertans on the Saturday night and displaying his songwriting skills at the Songwriters Cafe on Sunday afternoon, Berglund completed his weekend by taking home his inaugural win on Sunday evening.

Thanking his “pretty stellar” supporting team and honouring his fellow nominees, Berglund acknowledged his appreciation towards his fellow peers in attendance for the nomination and award:

“I’m very excited to back-up this award with what I believe attained it, good old fashioned hard work. We have an extremely busy summer on the road so this is a nice kick-start. I’m very fortunate to be among this group of nominees and past winners.”

Blake Berglund is presently touring and in strong contact and promotion with radio stations across the country.
